Call for projects
The aim of this call for projects is to open up ENREGAT Research Infrastructure core facilities free of charge to users coming from all over the world.
1. Eligible applicants
Eligible applicants for gaining an open access to the ENREGAT infrastructure are individual scientists and researchers, including students (Bc, MSc and PhD). The following two user groups are expected to use the infrastructure
ENREGAT in open access mode:
- students and researchers from the hosting organization VŠB-TUO,
- students and researchers beyond the hosting organization (Czech, foreign).
Access to the RI ENREGAT is free of charge for all users.
This call is NOT intended for companies.
2. Application procedure
Any applicant for the open access to the ENREGAT research infrastructure is asked for:
- the application form,
- the project proposal,
- the CV and a recommendation letter by the supervisor, in the case the applicant is a student.
The completed application form and all accompanying documentation shall be sent electronically to

This is a rolling call. All received project proposals will immediately undergo the evaluation process.
4. Evaluation process
The proposals will be evaluated by the two-step selection process focused on:
I. Stage - technical feasibility
II. Stage - scientific excellence by peer review: according the following criteria:
(i) scientific quality and objectives: 10 points,
(ii) methodological approach and the working plan: 10 points,
(iii) expected results and impacts: 10 points
(iv) CV of applicant, value of the supporting statements (for students)
The proposals have to obtain “YES” in I. Stage and minimally 15 points and “ACCEPTABLE” in the II. Stage to be selected for the open access to ENREGAT RI. When several proposals will need the same equipment, the order of use will be set according to the number of obtained points.

All operational costs, costs associated with the standard operation of the equipment and laboratory testing units (including the personal costs of operators, energy and defined consumable material) are covered by ENREGAT research infrastructure. No support is provided for travel, accommodation and allowance.
6. Use of RI
The user will be encouraged to participate directly on the research on the ENREGAT infrastructure. Upon arrival, each successful applicant signs an agreement on "General access conditions" specifying the access terms as to the local regulations, safety procedures, IPR rules and rules for publishing results. Each user is requested to submit a written report on the open-access project implementation within two weeks after completing the project. Users are also requested to provide a copy of all publications or reports based on this open-access project. If relevant, the members of every RI ENREGAT team involved in the research project will undersign a non-discloser agreement.
The results and outcomes of all open-access projects are being monitored. A summary report on the use of the research infrastructure ENREGAT is submitted to Ministry of Education, Young and Sports of Czech Republic, which is the provider of financial support of ENREGAT open access use.
Acknowledgement of the RI is required in all published outcomes of the open-access projects. The user has to state in research reports and scientific publications a reference on a large infrastructure facilities on which the research and development activities were carried out. Publications resulting from work undertaken on ENREGAT core facilities in the framework of Large Research, Experimental Development and Innovation Infrastructure project ENREGAT have to contain an acknowledgement according to the following pattern:
